Oh my gosh that is hilarious!! They look on the delivery mans face when it all went down was priceless!!
I know, I know. The peeping of the bride sounded humorous as well. Do you really think she was that frightened. I do not think I have ever heard my Bride scream.
Now Netty, you don’t think that I believe that for one minute, do you. You are such a hard-working tough cookie. I mean, a squirrel?? Ha ha ha. Oh me, oh my— you make me laugh harder than I did at the vid.
The delivery guy is hilarious. About ten years ago I had a young Siberian Husky. I was also pup sitting her best friend, a young collie. In the early morning getting ready for work I heard them barking. I went out in my housecoat, and they were tag teaming chasing a squirrel at the bottom of the stairs. The squirrel ran up the railing, launched onto my face, and relaunched onto a hanging basket before finding escape on the roof. I was stunned...and then ran in to tell Hubby. He didn't believe me until I showed him the tiny little tread marks on my face. Hubby thinks my long housecoat looked like a tree to the squirrel running for his life. I can still see that little sucker coming right at my face - airborn - in slow motion. He looked as shocked as I was. Thankfully our little red squirrels are half the size of most others.
What a story, Mel. I would have paid good money to have witnessed that! The images I get are graphic.
Oh yes, a small animal coming at me would make me squeal! Its a running joke at work, my reaction to mice running out at me, the sound I make and the dance I do! Funny thing, I'm perfectly fine with snakes and spiders, its just the mice!
When we lived up north, squirrels would get a buzz on from eating the fermented seeds of our maples. It is rather disconcerting to walk out into the back yard and have a half dozen squirrels sit and stare at you. I started carrying a large stick.
Oh Netty, you sure do make me laugh. We get a show on the telly over here called, “Laughing At Home Video’s”. They are short videoclips made by regular people. The clips come from world and they feature women being frightened by spiders, squirrels, mice, rats and birds in their homes…but also grown men that squeal like a small school girl. Oh dear, that is all so odd for us that it is exceedingly funny. Jane that is an interesting thing to hear. Good idea to carry a stick, you never know what a squirrel will do. Great foto, Pac. How’d they do that?!
Hahaha, poor man! That face, oh my. I squeal when I get startled, but it has to be a serious startle, mind! You know the ones that make your heart race and your brain thinking fight or flight?
The most destructive species here is the human being. Second is deer. After that, I think it's slugs, then either mice, cats, or raccoons. After that, maybe squirrel.
