Just been listening to some music on You Tube. Strange how a song that was rubbish a few years ago, can now often be a pleasure to listen to, almost perhaps now being a bit classical.

There are songs like that. Both my wife and I remember seeing Jimmy Helms sing this song at a nightclub in Manchester in the Seventies.
As a tune, I've always liked it. It works well as just an orchestral version.
"Lots of Major sevenths in it."
It's never been successfully been copied, as the range required is nearly three octaves, most pop singers can't manage that.

I taught myself to play it on my leccy piano.

I am just absolutely stunned. I just got finished watching "The Wrecking Crew" on Amazon Prime.

So many songs I love not played or created by the original artist. I even got to listen to the originator of The Pink Panther sax track.

The Wrecking Crew and the Funk Brothers seem to go on for ever.

    More on Joan Osborne

Carol Kaye played bass with both.

Yes it's disappointing when that happens.
I bought a LP of what i thought was the beach boys. When i took it home my eldest brother said that they wasn't, they were a cover band but it looked like the beach boys.

In the movie they told the story of The Press coming into the studios to interview The Monkees while their music was being recorded in another studio that everyone could hear. Evidently it caused quite a Manilli Vanilli.

I'm watching the 1949 Bogart film Tokyo Joe I recorded on "Talking Pictures"

Whilst Bogart had "Rick's" and "As Time Goes By." in Casablanca.

He has Tokyo Joe's" and "These Foolish Things" in Japan. (actually sung by his co-star Florence Marly).

I like this version of that tune, played by one of the younger members of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band.

Up with the birds..waiting for spring.. by Coldplay ….my fav all time band. Their music listening in my headphones after several surgeries has helped the healing process, get thru the pain and move on to happiness and enjoy life to the fullest.
Music has the power to heal , protect and restore.
