Thank you Logan. Apparently Hubby's Gran used to make this dish for him, so I'm grateful for the recipe.
Your welcome, you can half it if you don't want that much, i freeze most of it for 2 more days of toad in the hole and Yorkshire puddings.
I am meeting some cousins, my sisters and an aunt at a local diner. So dinner could be anything from pancakes, souvlaki, veal chops, a thanksgiving dinner, to the "big salad" or filet of sole... who knows! The world is my oyster... or octopus 0.o
Fish/seafood house tonight. A city trip yesterday found a TLC treat for Hubby. An Argentinian Shrimp ( big boys) platter is thawing for him while I make a seafood sauce. I'll be having some Cod ( also a treat) , asparagus ( not mine yet) and green salad.
Mel that sounds wonderful. I luv fish shrimp most any seafood with good quality… most of the frozen fish bought at the grocery is terrible and fishy tasting I have to throw it out. Any rules and regulations state that a certain % of frozen fish can be substituted by other white fish.. WHAT ? …says it right on the pkg in tiny print of course. and the prices have skyrocketed like everything else. Sending good vibes to your DH.
Just ordinary potatoes made into chips. Buy them frozen, they have a cooking oil on them, just put them on a baking tray for the oven, can deep fry them as well.
Thank you Pac. I'll pass those vibes on. We usually only eat the fish that we catch, but by the end of winter I enjoy a little white fish for a change( a nice break from Trout). Hopefully we will get some Ling Cod/Burbot this year and have white fish over the winter next year.
