Hopefully you do okay. We're in the warming time for us....but it's anyone's guess how long the, "heat wave" will be.

My sweet potato that the neighbor gave me is getting new sprouts and roots. I may get slips after all!

Pruned the big acer in the front garden, as I always do this time of the year. Lots of fat buds on it.

    The work begins.
We made a beginning in the greenhouse— we began emptying the spent soil out of it and will replace it with a fresh mix of our compost, rotted stall manure and plot soil.
Also I had broken a key off in the lock of the garden house, so I had to replace that old cylinder with a new cylinder.

Yesterday did some weeding in-between the polyanthus along the path in the front garden.
Today it's too cold for me to do anything outside.

There is some progress in the indoor garden.

The Eucalyptus citriodora (lemon scented) seedlings seem to be growing nicely. In my reading, it seems the more current name might be Corymbia citriodora?

I found a source for the traditional silver dollar Eucalyptus species, so planted those seeds. The instructions said to presoak for one or two days, so I did. The seeds are smaller than poppy seeds.

All of the onion seedlings look good.

I dropped one of the containers of hybrid yellow onions, so planted more.

Tomorrow, I might plant some chili pepper seeds.

It is so encouraging for me to see your new plantlets.
The Eucalyptus guys look good, don’t they.
    Well done you.

Isn't it a good feeling? It's like the cycle of life came around again to start a new season. I feel like I understand those ancient rituals and shrines, to some degree.

I don't know, i think that it's called that because it grows anywhere, I've had it in-between cracks in the patio. The other name is Erigeron.

I am on the same page with you, Daniel. It is great to be at this point in the cycle again.

Today we did more digging, mixing and re-filling of greenhouse soil. The carrying of the trugs full of soil is hard graft, but the reward is great. The first sore muscles of the season are visiting me this Spring.

Today I planted seeds for some chili pepper varieties. For Jalapeños, I settled on "Jalafuego", a larger, slightly hotter, more productive variety. I also planted seeds for two types of Serrano peppers, a Fresno variety, and an Anaheim variety. Two more to go.
