I was sure that I caught a glimpse of a post you made about a new puppy and the snow. Please....do tell about the Puppy!!! A puppy is so wonderful and good for the soul. Gender...name...breed....I'm in need of some puppy spam in the worst way Pac. Please feel free to puppy spam away. We could all use a gentle lift.

Oh, border collies are so smart, and she's female also. You are in for double trouble!
Keep us posted on her, please.

You got that right. Yikes… never a dull moment. She likes doggie interactive toys and puzzles… sometimes you can see her thinking to problem solve the games she has. She’s learning to push on buttons that I record. She pushes the ones that say ..”I want a cookie”..,the most . She’s leart 5 buttons so far. She’s a bit hyper…I have always had border collies, Shelties and collies. Have 5 dogs and all rescues ..great dogs. The other dogs help teach her ground manners,

She is adorable!! Is that bells on her collar? I bet you hear those in your sleep if they are hahaha. A busy bee.

Those buttons are brilliant. What a good idea.

Yes bells to listen to where she is during the day, she has reflecting collar to know where she is in the yard at night. If I don’t hear bells she’s into something she shouldn’t. She is a herding dog and bred with strong instincts to herd and gather and likes to wine when she doesn’t get what she wants. Like now she wants her ball stuck under furniture. She is getting louder by the minute poor doggie wants her ball. … I will wait til she figures it out.. she usually does…

Lovely Pacnorwest and full of life.
A friend of mine and her partner had a border collie puppy from a local farm. In a few days they took him back to the farm and lost their money. They didn't know what to do with a puppy, but they could have asked me but they didn't.

Sad news to adopt a border then return. These dogs are high energy and need attention to detail and training them to help guide their high energy , focus on positive play and lots of room to run. When the pastures dries out will take her around on a lead on my ATV.

When my kids were young we had a couple Queensland Blue Heelers, also herding dogs. They are very smart, when it was bedtime for the kiddos they would, "herd" them to their rooms.

More puppy Shenanigans…her talking button is in her mouth as she is using her mouth to push the recording button over and over …recording said….” I want cookie ball”. And she positioned her empty cookie ball on her left, ….then she continued to push the recording button in her mouth over and over until someone hears it …Oh No…
