Clay our temperature was similar this am. I lived in the Hudson Valley for a year (There were still mastodons wandering around in those days) and thought it was a beautiful area and climate. My temp this am, mid 40s. Now mid 50s. By afternoon, low 70s. Slightly overcast. Cooler plants are outside, warmer ones soon. A nice day ahead.

We've been out working on the garden all day from 9:30 to 5:15 and it's been perfect. Being mostly cloudy made is very easy and pleasant to work in . It has been very warm and is still a fair!y high temp out there for this time of year. Tomorrow will feel decidedly nippy after being so spoilt today.
I'm still outside, so haven't yet reached home, (so don't know what my weather instruments are saying). But people are saying that tomorrow morning there will be a storm - Looks like monsoon season is indeed going to arrive early this year. If the government's official metrological department is to be trusted, (personally I think that whatever the government nowadays says, specially related to weather, should be considered as satire, judging from recent experience)...
