@Pacnorwest New air conditioners don't use freon gas anymore, (which ruined the ozone layer above). They mostly now use R600 in refrigerators, deep freezers, and air conditioners. Which is purified liquid petroleum gas (LPG) - Which was always a waste product of oil refineries. So at now it's being put to good use. New T3 investor compressors in all new air conditioners also consume far less energy. And best of all, they can be run by alternative sources of renewable energy. Like solar panels and wind energy.
Yes I’m aware of the newer systems not everyone can convert due to the cost and electricity over use in summers high temps that cause blackout conditions thru out many states here in the US every summer, causing many deaths. Can’t have solar here for many reasons just not practical in my area. In other states the solar and windmill use has an over abundance of power that goes to waste and can be a useful system.

We've just got home from a day out and the weather has been cloudy but quite warm. Just been out to check the greenhouse and noticed it's now begun to lightly spit with rain.
Basically the same here in BG (Battle Ground). A good day for more Spring cleaning, getting some more items onto Craig's List, making some egg / hash brown burritos, and puttering in the sunroom. The seedlings stay under lights there. About Battle Ground's name - While the town was named during a period of strife, probably some treachery, and other stuff (staying out of controversy here I hope), BG was ironically named for a battle that did not happen. It was named for an incident of peace in time of war. https://www.columbian.com/news/2023...story-of-how-city-of-battle-ground-was-named/
The city of Battleground the name certainly has a history . It’s a beautiful city lots of beautiful scenery .
