    Thanks @Logan .
This spring has been, for S. Georgia, unseasonably cool which is helping the garden a lot !!

I planted out this Bok Choy October 10, 2024. Cool season veg, right? Well now, April 19, 2025, ( days now in the 80's and a few 90°f days) it has still not started to bolt !! That's 6 months !! The other two keeled over, one a month ago and the other a month before that.

We'll see next year how many of the seeds from this presumably "heat-tolerant" one, will take after it's mommy !! Then I'll save seed from that one, etc., etc.

And I don't even really like Bok Choy that much :smt044

It's just something to do. :p

I did not plant this Cabbage. It just came up in this bed in January. Amazingly, it is heading in temps in the 80's daily !!

:) My garden is in the deep South. I'm only 12 miles north of the Florida line. When your veg are thriving in June and July, all mine have succumbed to the heat ( save watermelons and Peppers !!). :p

I had three Babyboomer cherry tomatoes ripen yesterday. No pictures because I couldn't resist eating them as soon as I picked them !! :D

    * I really highly recommend Babyboomers !! :smt026 I've grown many different varieties of cherry tomatoes and these are the least acidic and have a complex flavor, more flavorful and mild than any I've ever eaten. :smt026

Then my Paw paw tree has been pollinated and I have fruit coming on two of the three trees !!

The Pomegranete has one cluster and a few little bitty red dots coming up here and there.

Lastly, my Japanese Persimmon is simply LOADED with fruits !! Even with the fruit drop that is coming, I'm sure I will have a good persimmon harvest this year.

I'm a babyboomer too. You need to get a Japanese Persimmon tree. They are absolutely the sweetest fruit ever.!!

Can’t grow persimmon trees in my zone. But I can purchase them when they’re in season.
I have family in Florida a warm zone to grow them. They are a nice little trees and produce sweet fruit/ color reddish or orangish . Fresh off the tree fully ripe persimmons are juicy and sweet with a honey-like flavor that's a bit like cantaloupe or apricots without the tang. Their texture is similar to apricots. Oh yes apricots is my fav fruit. They are only available a short time in stores here.
