Orchid excitement!

    Well, you know Ronni--now is the time for orchids to to begin activating their flower stem nodes. I'll bet that your saved plant is on auto-pilot now and probably go on ahead and produce more buds.

    I do not know much about orchids...but I will say that you perhaps ought to be tediously careful with the first buds as sometimes the first year, the buds can go all soft and not open, but just fall off.

    I was never able to discover a clear answer as to why this happens...I have read-- too warm, too dry and draftiness.
