Native biennial in the western regions of British Columbia, Washington State and Oregon. Natural stands in distrubed areas will have mixes of white, and pinks. Comes up regularly in my naturalized beds of rhodies, and ferns and between pavers of the patios. In regular garden beds flower stalks get over 8 feet tall.

It is used as medicine, but more than an extremely tiny amount can be dangerous.

Foxgloves are short-lived in my garden, but they easily reproduce from seed. They are the kind of plant that once you have them, you always have them. Just be sure to allow at least once flowering stalk to go to seed. I planted a 'forest' of foxgloves by scarifying the soil, then shaking a seed stalk over it.
