Echinops ritro is a nice plant with globe-shaped flower heads. The flowers have a nice sweet smell, also attracts various insects (especially bees).I grow a much larger and taller variety of Echinops which produces lots of flower heads and is better at attracting more insects, but this variety is ideal for the larger garden. I grow it in full sun or part shade. water when soil is dry.
