Much logged as a timber tree for it's rich red colour. Has a lignotuber underground which stores large amounts of water and nutrients, and in conjunction with it's deep roots ,enable it to regenerate after bushfires and drought. Flowers every alternate year, makes good honey. Native to south Western Australia forests and bush.
