It is very important for gardeners/homeowners to be fully aware that Zamia furfuracea poses a toxic danger - especially the attractive, (and apparently sweet-tasting) red seeds, which are EXTREMELY toxic - many pet deaths (slow and painful organ failure) have resulted from ingestion of the seeds.
