I grew Brandywines for the first time this year (summer 2012) and plan to grow them again next year. The fruit is huge and makes a great salsa, sandwich or canned tomato. They do tend to have deep scabbing at the stem and blossom end, but are so large you don't mind cutting around the scabs.
