Oh, don't worry about picking up pine cones. There's tons of them. The one's that are particularly pretty are the Sugar Cone Pines. Their cone is somewhat similar to the one in the picture but quite a bit larger.

I used to have one or two of these that I found hiking in California years ago. They graced my hearth in Illinois while I lived there. I probably wasn't supposed to pick them up, was I? Shhh. I envy the time you get to spend in such a beautiful place, that's for sure.
