Description: This red tingle tree (Eucalyptus jacksonii) is found only in the Walpole Nornalup National Park area, which is around 350km south of Perth. They have the largest girth of all the Eucalypts - up to 26 metres! They are the second tallest, growing up to 75 metres and can live as long as 400 years. They often have these hollowed out trunks because the timber has fire resistant properties which allows them to survive bushfires and continue to grow.
