Description: This is a very shy, somewhat rare snake that we have here in Texas. Its habitat is being encroached by development, and they are not seen all that frequently. We have two living here on our farm. They are so leery of humans we were surprised this one stayed in the open long enough for a photo. They eat vermin, so are most welcome!
