Description: Anhingas are also known as "water turkeys" but don't ask my why! They can swim a great length underwater, and pop up in unexpected places. They are fish eaters, so people who stock their tanks at great expense are not very happy to host this bird. We enjoy watching them swim, dive, and surface like feathered submarines.
