Description: Because our field is bordered by trees on the west, and we also have several large trees scattered around the pasture, hawks perch and survey their surroundings for prey, or just to rest. This Northern Harrier is not as frequent as visitor as the Red Tailed hawk, but shows up occasionally and puts fear into the hearts of all the hares and voles.
