Description: With all the greenery coming out of the vegetable and flower gardens, plus the grass clippings from the back yard, two compost piles just can't handle the volume. We will add a third bin soon.
These are passive piles--I just give them a light toss occasionally, and dig the good compost out from the bottom. We usually have one working and one resting pile.
