Description: I picked up a pot of lavender and saw this little guy on it. Since he wasn't too active, I got the camera and took his photo.
White-lined Sphinx moths like meadows and gardens and fly at dusk or at night. It has one of the largest wingspans of all the North American sphinx moths. They enjoy evening primrose as a nectar plant, and we have ours just coming into bloom.
