Description: Phytolacca, Phytolacca americana = Ph. decandra, from the eastern regions of the United States and Bermuda. The herbaceous perennial with each year dying stems.. Leaves large, alternate, petiolate, entire, elliptic, light green, contain large amounts of oxalic acid.Flowers are small, greenish-white,the berries ripen in September.
