Description: Daniel Yount was from a German family who brought their weaving skills to America. Daniel Yount was a Quaker and built this Federal style house for his family and female employees. Indiana was inhabited by Indian tribes when weavers and farmers started to come and build grist mills and a few textile mills. In 1864, they were given a government contract to make uniforms for the civil war. Sky pencil holly line the sitting wall, zinnias are inside the wall which defines the formal lawn.
