Description: The Shakers were a 19th century religious sect, known for their fine furniture making; inventiveness (a Shaker sister invented the circular saw); and were also the first to advertise and ship garden seeds. My husband made this Shaker style candle holder. The candles can be adjusted up or down on the center wooden screw, and the triple base is for stability. We enjoy ours frequently at dinnertime.
