Very slow growing for me. I started with a starter plant two years ago and it still gets lost in the garden.

Slow growing ground cover with flowers in the spring.

My hummingbird loved it and it's right by the front door.

I dry this one carefully in my microwave and then crumble it and use it in dressing.

These can take a long time to mature and bloom. I'm still waiting for mine to bloom.

The rhysome crown can't be buried more than 1 inch below the soil. It likes bone meal added to the soil prior to May when it blooms. I love these.

I love to see this one bloom in February It does need to be trained to be best in the garden.

These will face a bright surface rather than the sun if it is close. I found this out because my house is white and they all face it rather than the sidewalk.

Buried deeper and it will need less staking. Will not keep the voles and moles away from tulips or crocuses placed in the same bed. I use a grid style twine matrix to help them stand tall.

These have to be moved every 3rd year to keep them healthy. It won't be long before I'll be looking for a home for my red ones. I cut them back to 4 inches after blooming to keep them nicely shaped and compact for the next year.
