I have grown these in full shade, full sun and in between here in zone 5 and they do well in all exposures. A very low maintenance plant :)

Loved this plant but you need a lot of room for it huge hanging size. Would make a great hanging plant for a large sun room or porch

Hi. I have grown this plant for a number of years. I find/found that (once established) it likes full sun in a well drained position. Have had it revert to green either completely or in patches (possibly when grown in too rich conditions?). An all olive green plant also looks well. If happy they run a little - the black berries did for me germinate. Syd Smith.

This vine in my garden has spread a lot more than 20 feet. It is climbing several elm trees and well up into them. I would think it can be very aggressive, even though it has taken years to reach this point. I have had it since the mid 90s, and it was mistaken for a periwinkle vine. I like my English Ivy better, which is in a different part of my yard.

I think this may be a sport (with a purple stripe in the middle of each leaf) of T. cerinthoides AKA blossfeldiana.

Self sows freely, can become invasive. Keep deadheaded to avoid seedlings popping up everywhere!

I grew 'Twister' in a pot in shade, not realizing that it wanted wet feet. It got watered when I remembered, but we had a wet summer. It did OK, but didn't grow too big. Not sure if I want to leave it out all winter so it will probably become a house plant for the winter.

Makes a great potted plant for patio or deck. Now comes in dark and varigated leaf forms. The leaf color variations come from sports and must be monitored and solid green sports removed to keep from reverting to solid green.

I have really enjoyed the variegated form. The dark purple green form tended to be lanky despite heavy pinching.
