for those that read my blog or some of my other posts you know I have been having some financial issues. Today I spoke to my wife on the phone and my two daughters and it made me feel so awesome. Just hearing my 5 year old saying I love you daddy and my 8 year old as well was enough to perk me up for the remainder of the day. regardless of how bad things get I can always count on them to bring me out of being depressed even if only for a little while.

Anyone else got those melt your heart moments?

*hugs*,,that is so awesome! Good for you. Children have the most special way of making everyone feel so much better.

I had mine this morning, as a wake up call from my son in Iraq. Melted my heart to hear he is fine and can't wait to come home again soon! Not to mention his list of cookies and candies he wants sent as soon as i can,,,lol.

I'm happy for you, Pete. Children are the best restoratives there is.

What a pick me up, I experience that thru my grown children an my grandsons almost daily. Makes life so worth the hard times just hearing those 3 little words. Lots of folks find it hard to say them, but so need to hear them at times. We should always let the ones we care about whether family or not how we feel. We are not promised tomorrow.

"Melt your heart moments" are the best aren't they?! And the best part of them is you can hold onto them as long as you want; a little imprint on your heart :stew2:

I remember the "Son calling from Iraq" moments, wow would my heart leap for joy! Just to hear his voice was an imprint on my heart :-D
