I went out to water this evening and took a few pictures. It wasn't the right time of day for a few as the sun was going down and making the colors wrong. I took them anyway. This is Russian Sage. It almost died last fall and I cut it way back this spring. It's about three feet tall and a little wider and green and flowering. A rose bud and a full rose on the same bush. A fuzzy hollyhock because I cut the picture down too much. We should have a lot of grape jelly this year if the birds and bees leave the grapes alone. The apricot trees are bending so low we can't use one path. Apricot Jam, anyone! Top of tree middle of tree and bottom of tree I think this geranium needs moved back into the sun. It is leaning way over trying to reach it. It has 19 blooms or buds on it. Okay, that is the pictures that I took when I was watering today. dooley
Oh my oh my ,My mouth is watering I love grape jelly and I sure do love fresh Apricots and jam.You will certainly have lots of them. Those rose are so pretty and that is such a vibrate red geranium. That Russian Sage is wonderful.
I'd probably eat myself silly on apricots and grapes if I lived near you. You'd hear some rustling in your bushes, and if you came to investigate I'd run like mad with the front of my sweater full of delicacies! Yummy! Your blooms are looking good.
Wow it looks like you're about to have a bumper crop of grapes Dooley and those apricots look about ready to pick!! All my fruit is still ages away from being ripe. You must show us all the jelly and jam you make.
I love the Russian Sage Dooley. I have one here that does well so I must get more. Mmmm, fresh grapes and apricots! Yum!
Dooley, I would like to 'order' some grape jelly and apricot jam!! That rose bud is so pretty. Just perfect.
Huh, I didn't know grapes would grow in your area. Your apricot tree looks wonderful! Your flowers are adorable.
dr says we will try picking some of the apricots from the top of the tree tomorrow. I can't climb the ladder so I guess I will hold the bucket. The grapes won't be ripe until late August or September. These are white ones. I haven't really checked the pink ones recently. We planted some concords just for jelly but they are still little. The geraniums are on their fourth year. I bought them at WalMart one fall for two dollars each. I have four pots of them. Last year I stuck them in the exercise room and forgot them. There is no heat but they didn't freeze. I cut them back this spring and they are doing fine. The only thing about making jam is doing it when the weather is more than 100 degs outside. We have no cooling except fans. dooley
M&M have Apricot and Peach trees, I will have to ask if they have fruit this year. They have miniature baby ducks just three days old. I will have to get pictures. Wannabe
