We had such a good time. PRH's mom, June, got back to the ranch not long after we arrived, I didn't realize that she would be in Dallas at the trade show too or we would have scheduled our visit for another weekend. But we got to sit under the really large pergola PRH had built and visited for quite a while. June was so much fun to talk to and such a sweet lady. My oldest daughter Lisa and June on the right and that's me on the left....Randy took the picture before I could put my hat up to hide behind. Another view of the pergola after Brenda, PRH's sister arrived. The Lavender field from two directions. Randy took several more pictures but the sun was so bright they were too faded out to see. The wind was blowing most of the Lavender scent away from us but the shop was filled with freshly cut bundles of Lavender and when we walked in it was heavenly. It looked like we would have to leave to get Lisa back home before PRH got there, but he showed up as we were browsing thru their shop. I have two bundles of freshly cut lavender and Lisa got some Lavender/Grapefruit hand soap and a Lavender candle. My lavender bundles sat in the car Saturday night and Sunday since we were away from home the whole weekend, the car smelled great and by the time we got home Sunday evening you could smell it from outside even before you opened the doors. Haven't check it today but I bet the fragrance is still there. We want to go back again on a Saturday when they are all out there working and we just happen to drop by in time for lunch
Thank you. Toni, Thank you for coming out to the farm. I'll let you know when we have BBQ for lunch. Until next time. Lavender Up! Purple Ranch Hand
OOOOh,,,How lucky! I bet that was a great trip, and to see all that lavender. Oh my goodness, i would of been in heaven. Lavender is something i can only dream about growing up here, even indoors, its too dark in the winter, even with a ton of lights on. Oh, i'm just plain jealous.
Oh so am I Biita!! It must have been such fun to meet PRH and his family as well as seeing (and smelling) all that glorious lavender.
I'd love to sit there among all that lavender and enjoy good company and a chat. I'm glad you got to meet each other.
Oh what fun you all must of had.I know the gift shop is wonderful and all those fields of lavender. I am going to make that trip myself one day.I just am being pulled there. One day soon hopefully.
How neat that you got to visit. PHR let us know when the BBQ will be served and I'll bet all us Texans will manage to get there one way or the other!!
That's so great you guys got to meet. It's fun to see our stew family meet each other. I myself, would love to one day come to the lavender farm and meet all. However, I've never been to Texas...yet that is. One day...I'd love to come. Thanks for sharing.
