I have some spotted dead nettle, that are not looking good!

    I bought a bunch of these plants and planted then with in the last month or so, they started off good but they are starting to look sluggish to me, they get 50% shade and 50% sun, please help me out before they die, thanks Tim

    Mine always look a little ragged after they are done blooming. I usually cut them back a little and then they get nice new growth from the bottom.

    Yes, I would cut off the dead blooms. It makes the plant look so much nicer and the seeds won't fall into your gardens.
    These plants spread quickly enough on their own!

    I will try this, and also if I water them once a day for a half hour, is that to much water for these.

    You should water more like once a week, but deeply. Once a day is way too much water. Lamium can take a really dry area when its established.

    I guess a lot depends on your soil type brohnson. I have mine in clay soil and I don't water them - the clay holds the moisture. At work we have sandy soil and they need water more often. One way to check is to poke your finger into the soil and see if it is dried out. Once established, they will grow well even in dry soil. I hope this helps.

    ok I trimmed the dead blooms off, and I noticed a lot of new growth in the bottom of the plants, so everything is looking good asnd I will only water them once a week:)
