It is a Schefflera arboricola also known as an Umbrella plant. It is commonly a houseplant north of say Florida. In Florida it is grown outside and can become a smallish tree.

I have it in complete shade. It had very little sun in my house. It doesn't like being moved around much.

    Care
The plant prefers higher light if possible, but can adapt to a wide variety of light levels. As a tropical plant it likes moisture, but avoid letting the plant sit in water after you water it. It likes to be moist but not wet.
    Hope this helps
