You bought some wonderful plants and everyone else has told you what you need to know. Petunias are very cheap here and its easier to get new ones every year.
ohhh heres the closer pic of the fushia, (thats what i'm calling it now,,lol) and after picking off all the broken flowers and stems,, this is what is left of the petunia
Very lovely, Biits....I think that Petunia should be alright. It looks just fine to me in spite of the "wind pruning". Just keep it watered and feed it every week or two and it ought to make it just fine. --just make sure that when you do feed it that the soil is moist--otherwise it could be curtains for the little fellow. That goes for any container plant actually (You probably already knew this...don't be offended please). I still like it's beautiful cardinal colour.
Both your plants are looking good, Biita. I remember "popping" fuchsia buds when I was litte, and got a scolding from my grandmother every time.
lol, i'm not offended at all,, its a good reminder for me. Thanks. ohhh Droopy, you know now i have to find one that has dropped and try to pop it just to see now for myself.... lol, do not tell me those kinds of things, because i have to try it out,,,lol. its the kid in me,,,,,,
Well, the buds look a bit like small balloons, and are ever so tempting to pinch just a little bit... They have to be big buds, though, just about to burst into bloom. Otherwise the "pop" is unsatisfactory.
no morning glorys here,, but i will be watching for a large bud,,lol. I really want to hear that "pop"
it's as addictive as bubble plastic, Biits. Turn your sound on for this! http://www.therightfoot.net/mystuff/wha ... lewrap.swf
I love this site... but sometimes (very often, actually) *giggles to self* I feel like everybody is speaking a different language... as I haven't a clue half the time what you are all speaking of... Save the tiny seeds?????????? Where would I find such a thing? AND then what would I do with the seeds? I buy flowers every season... I water them... watch them grow and/or die... and at the end of the season, I clean out the pots... and wait for the season to come back so I can do the same.
I deadhead my Petunias, but they also tend to get 'leggy', so I cut them back and the plants get much fuller. You got some pretty plants Biita. Good luck with them.
O,,,,MY,,,,Gawd I just noticed the bubblewrap link..... Sjooooo---erd!!!! Now you did it, nothing will get done!!! (i love it!)
