I hope this is the right forum? I was looking thru alot of the pictures here at GardenStew and PlantStew and was wondering what camera you all use to take such good pics.I use the Sony Super Steady Shot 12x optical zoom 5.1 megapixels.
Mine is a Kodak Easy Share C330, it's about 3 years old and does pretty durn good....but I would like a newer one, maybe for Christmas.
I have an HP photosmart 733. It is 3.2 MP and 3x optical zoom. When I got it about 5 years ago, it had just been discontinued so was being sold really cheap. I would love to have a better camera, maybe someday when I win the lottery!
I have a Fugi FinePix S700. It is a great camera for close up shots. I love the macro and super macro features. Plus for taking pics of my son in action is has the stabilization feature so pics are not blurry. It has so many functions I haven't even explored them all yet.
I have Fuji FinePix 345 3.1MP with 3x optical zoom. I have had it about 5 years and would love to have a new on. I would like a better zoom, but what I would really like is one that you can just 'point and shoot'. The pictures on the stew have a lot to do with the operator, and one of those 'I ain't'!!
We have a Nikon N80, which is not a digital camera but an SLR 35mm. Our next step is to move up to the Nikon D80, which would be much more convenient. We're hoping for some good sales this Christmas. We no longer print all the photos, we just get negatives and a photo cd and print anything we want later. Our point & shoot digital camera is a Canon Powershot A530 (5 mp/4X optical zoom). It's nice, but I may upgrade to a 10mp Canon camera this Christmas when I predict they'll be ~$150-160.
I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 digital camera. However, my husband has an expensive Canon digital camera and my son has a even more expensive Nikon digital that I'm going to steal from them one day!!!
I use an Olympus FE-130 5.1 megapixel. The 130 is now discontinued but there's others in the FE series. Olympus takes good pictures. I've owned two Kodak Easy Share cameras in the past. They too took great pictures but both broke. I wouldnt buy another one. My SO, sister, and son, all have Cannon Sure Shots. My opinion is, if you dont mess with the settings and leave it on 'auto'..they take good pictures. I've seen other Cannons take great pictures also.
I have a Minolta DiMage with a 10X optical zoom. I am still playing around with it. It takes great pictures on auto, thank goodness. Movies were decent on it and then we bought a nifty little video camera for our trip to Rome,Italy in March. I am practicing with both now for our trip to Tuscany in September. I don't know whether I will graduate from the auto setting by then but here's hoping!
