Ok I got this butterfly kit thing. And I think they were breeding. And anyway I let them go. But the paper towel I had in their "cage" had little green things all over it. I looked up what their eggs look like and I relized it was eggs. I took the towel and put it under some bushes in this canal thing behind our house (aka: butterfly paradise!).

Will they be ok? I mean I dont know what the catapillers eat or anything (they are painted lady's by the way). I just hope that the variety of plants and flowers can feed them.

The Painted Lady caterpillars feed on thistle, mallow, hollyhock, malva, and sunflower. If they are not on or very near one of those plants they might not live very long, plus if they are out where birds or bugs can find them they will become a meal instead.

Ok well what does that look like? I guess I could go on a hunt for some if there is none nearby. And I think they are in a pretty safe spot considering there were other butterflies there.

Well my little eggs were taken away by ants!! >:-( I am so angry! There were a few left so I stuck them somewhere else. They are now quite high off the ground in a small plant that looks possibly like a wild hollyhock(if there is such a thing). I hope they are away from danger!
