This was sent to me last year as a cutting from a friend in South Carolina. I left it in a pot and put it in the plant shelter last winter. This spring I put it in the ground and this is the result: I will be sure to take plenty of cuttings before our first frost, next year I will have lots of them blooming.
I do love the Burgs Sharon.I have pink and Yellow ones.I did cut lots last year.Mine are about to bloom again.I have never had them seed.
That...that...that is so enormously beautiful, C'Belle. It is simply gorgeous. I am so glad that it did well for you. It has has expert care, obviously. But how nicely it turned-out. You must be VERY pleased. I have two favourites: this one that you have and there is a yellowish-salmony one that I fancy. Perhaps if the climate continues to change here, I shall be able to grow them permanently ootside. I sure hope so. Anyway...thanks for showing the pic, and well done!
Oh I'm deeply in love!!! What a beauty Sharon. I'm going to try growing some of these (and Datura) now that the greenhouse is up and running. I hope they look as wonderful as yours do. :-D
Wow! That is so beautiful. Somehow i don't think that will grow in the Arctic. But i can always look at yours! Thank you for sharing that.
That is the prettiest color Brug that I have ever seen. Around here they are usually yellow . . . (actually I've only seen them in two yards.)
Brug's When you take cutting from them, what is the most successful method of getting the cutting to grow? I would like to trim mine some but don't want to throw the cuttings away.
