I am building a small greenhouse that will be in partial shade all day. Is there any easy way for me to "pump" higher CO2 (carbon dioxide) into the greenhouse? the only way I can think of involves capturing the gas from burning something, and releasing it into the greenhouse, which is not too difficult. just wondering if there is any orthodox way to do this. I know it is probably a strange request for a noncommercial greenhouse, but I want to try it anyway. I am also considering putting a small low powered (maybe wind driven even) fan in the top to pull out the excess oxygen when I do this, but I don't know if it is necessary, or even a good idea.
How far is the greenhouse from your home? If it is close, can some system taking out the CO2 rich air from your home to the greenhouse be built? It won't be too complex because the air in your home will be heavier than the one in the greenhouse.
wow, great idea, I didn't even think of that. I will be building it on the balcony, so only a foot or two away from the door. I'm only in a dorm so I can't go through the wall and make that automatic, but a fan and a tube into the building once every few days would probably suffice.
