Your first photograph is lovely Susie - so much lush foliage!! You're right it does look like a tropical rainforest. What a clear shot of the deer you managed to get. It looks as though you had a wonderful trip. :stew2:

What area is that? I love places like that, if kind of looks like north Florida, but then again Ocala & Wildwood look like that & they are not to far from me in the central region.

    reply to questions...

This is Highland Hammocks State Park, located 4 miles from Sebring, and that pic. with the deer in it, is not in a picnic area but rather in the campground, besides living here in Fl. we are also RVer's and our plan for 08 was to visit or re-visit our own beautiful state parks of which we now have 162, not all with full camping but most..our plan went fine except for 2 months, when 4 big storms were approaching at once, not knowing what direction to go if we left, we put up our hurricane protection, gathered up all outside garden statuary,(good time to re-paint which I did) and we hunkered down for July & Aug. Now we are back on course and HH was our most recent trip, we're home only one week today. Sebring surrounds this lake, pretty much, on Rt.27
