Hi I am in real need of advise!!!! I live in Cape Town, South Africa....

We have a sunshine yellow Land Rover (George) and we are in the process of removing the current interior i.e.. Sound proofing, Head Linings, carpets etc. at the moment the interior is yellow (Doors) Blue and green on the internal walls. HELP!!!!

We plan on using the Land Rover for tourism purposes but also for recreational off-road trips in the African Bush.... It is a station wagon and can carry 12 people.... We also plan to build a removable platform where we will put an inflatable bed in the rear of the vehicle. One thing that is cast in stone is that the seats are black.... The important thing is we do not want it to look dark, heavy and small inside...

If there is anyone who has any advise we would really appreciate it. If photos are needs I am more than happy to send you some

Photographs would help but I think I'd go for a neutral shade, like ercu, for the interior. I would make sure it was the type of material that could be easily washed down and was stain resistant too.
Your venture sounds so exciting and I'm sure all your clients will have a wonderful time being shown all that the African bush has to offer. Good luck with bookings. :-D

    Hi again justustwo.

I got your PM - thanks. However, there's no point in me duplicating the information as Frank has already posted the link that tells you how to post photographs here on our forums. I hope it works for you as I would love to see piccies of George. :-D I take it that's 'him' in your avatar picture? My husband suggested you have the interior in zebra print  - well he's a man too so what else would you expect!! :D :D

Ecru by the way is a cream-ish colour that I think would off-set both the black seats and the yellow of the Land Rover.

How about plumping for an all black interior? Maybe you could add touches of yellow in the form of travelling rugs for the comfort of your passengers. I'm afraid I'm not very good with choosing colours for a Land Rover am I? But at least I knew that zebra stripes were a no-no!!

Black is a good colour but we tried it and it was just sooo dark inside and when we added bits of yellow it look just like bees had invaded and it was hysterical... it would also make it look smaller inside and to add to that it would retain the african heat we have down here in summer... You must think I am really impossible hey? Look I am trying my luck here i did not think anyone would even response.... Anyway it has been a good laugh .... You can only imagine what I am like when buying clothes for myself... if I do not like the colours then it is the print that is too loud ....

I found this colour chart that I think may give you some inspiration.

I think a light grey would be a colour that would blend nicely with both the yellow and the black but see what you think.
