Hello All, My name is Nick and I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I joined the group in an effort to introduce my family to some new gardening tips and advice. Living in Colorado my parents are big gardeners and do not take advantage of the passionate and experienced people who use the internet to discuss gardening. I am trying to find out the best ways and products to help my parents create the perfect garden. Can you help? I welcome any tips, advice or product reference you can offer. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you! Nick
Hello, Nick, and welcome to the Stew from coastal mid-Norway. I'm certain you'll find plenty of tips and pointers on most garden-related topics once you start searching the forums and reading the posts. As for creating the perfect garden, I shall have to ask you how you picture your perfect garden. My dream garden is a far cry from my neighbour's dream garden, and I guess that's the way it is all over the world.
Hello Nick and a warm welcome to GardenStew from Scotland. :-D What type of garden are your parents wanting to achieve? A photograph, as Droopy suggested, would help us to help them out.
Welcome from northeast Wisconsin. Like others have said...what are your parents looking to do in their space, and what are their needs? So many choices, and it's best to start first with a plan. And it's oh so rewarding!
Hi Nick, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Please share pictures of the garden your parents have now. Are they happy with the look of the garden they have or are they having specific problems with pests, plants, soil? If so, you can post those in specific forums here on the Stew and have answers to help get them taken care of?
Hi Nick, welcome from the UK. I am sure you will find all the help and advice you need here. As others have said, it would be good to have a photo of your parent's garden.
Welcome, Nick, from coastal NC. The first step in successful gardening is knowing your growing zone and what type of soil you have. Your local agricultural center will test it for you for free. There are very good gardeners on the "stew" and a plant file to learn much more about plants and their needs. Good luck. Gardengater
Welcome Nick to the stew from So. ME. I think everyone has their own idea of their perfect garden. Once we get an idea of your parents vision I think we can offer more advice. And we love pics so post many for us please. I look forward to stewing with you. Enjoy!
