The Japanese have genetically developed a blue rose:

Would you buy them or are you a traditionalist where roses are concerned? Me? Well you all know my love of blue flowers so I think I'd have to have at least three if the price was right!!! :D

They are beautiful. I am somewhat of a traditionalist, I love heirloom roses but I would not be able to resist the blue roses if they were available to me.

Those ARE beauties. They have blue everything else, so why not roses. No one ever said roses should be red or pink! I'd buy one when the price comes down!

I'm no rose lover, due to our climate, so I won't try them. I'm still trying to grow a green rose, but it won't bloom for me.

I have seen roses similar to those for sale here.
It are called Rosa "Blue Lake".
I do not think it is the same as the one you are showing though.

I like blue flowers too. Very much.

A boy from my past who was interested in me used to send me the dyed blue roses all the time, they are beautiful, I think I would buy some as well.

I was once told the meaning is an unattainable love, or mystery.

You are a girl after my own heart Eileen. I too love blue flowers. I used to have a blue rose but lost it unfortunately (can't remember the name) not as blue as those beauties though. Hope we see them over here some day.

A blue rose should have its own special place in the rose garden. Or would it be better if it was planted somewhere where it was the only planting?
