hi, i am new to gardening and stuff..

im trying to grow some dwarf sunflowers, using seeds i brought from the shops.
i know they are easy to grow, and i was wondering if i can speed up the whole germination to seedlings to flowering process?? by putting it under a heated mat around 25°C, and under a UV light .. lets say over a period of 24hrs a day? or 12hrs a day? depending if plants actually need to have a break/sleep (without UV light).

and if i do use UV light, does it need to be on while its in the process of germination, i just planted them in yesterday, so its still buried under the soil, is it useless for the UV light/lamp to be on at this stage?

Uv isnt as important to the plants. Spectrum is. You can put your lights on an 18/6 schedule that will speed up the veg cycle. My sunflowers seem to flower genetically....not on a light cycle.
I use leds and the results are great!
