Im new here, no kidding lol. Anyhow, I am mostly a wildlife/invertebrate guy from Florida but I love plants as well so I hope to learn more about them here. My grandfather owned a farm and grew flowers for FTD florist in NJ and I remember visiting and seeing rows and rows of different colors. But I didnt quite get his green thumb qualities. Fred
Hi Fred, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. I have never 'met' a bear guy before. Didn't realize there were bears in Florida actually, I lived in West Palm Beach for about 5 years in another life, just remember alligators being the main problem. You never know for sure what color your thumbs are until you start playing in the dirt. I'll bet we can help you get started on a really nice garden.
Thank you, I cant wait till spring and I can get started with plants again this site is awesome. I lived in stafford texas for approximately 10 years and my sister lived in Magnolia.
Hi Fred and a hearty welcome to GardenStew from Sweden. You don't need to have a green thumb to hang around here so don't worry
Thanks, I'm trying to post some pics of bears getting into gardens and some benificial garden invertebrates but my server keeps sutting down, its very frustrating but i will see if i can fix it.
Fred you can post photos to your Garden here and then when you are writing a new post use the 'Insert a photo from your Garden' link to add a photo to your post.

Hi there Fred and welcome to our forums from a very snowy Scotland. I hope you manage to work out how to post your photographs as I'd love to see them.
