More signs of Spring in West Texas! (Now, the apricot tree is blooming kind of early, and we expect, it won't make any apricots this year. We'll have more freezes before April.
Beautiful blossom! but they look like wasps to me and I shiver at the thought of wasps! Lets hope they're bees and they're making yummy honey!
It's great to see those blooms. I sure hope that they don't freeze-dead. Do you plan to cover a branch or two in the evenings with fleece to try and have a few apricots at least? I am very happy to see those honey bees. I worry about their disappearance.
Beautiful blooms What pretty blooms. Reminds me of my dogwood trees in the Spring. Hope they survive.
I won't cover any of this tree in case of freeze. It's a small tree & we have a much larger one just a few yards away, which does not bloom early. We'll end up with more apricots than we can eat.
Fabulous pics. My little peach tree is in the greenhouse keeping cosy and trying to prevent it getting peach leaf curl as it really took a hammering last year and didn't produce any fruit. If you can't manange all of the apricots, do fill free to box them up and send them to me.
Lovely spring photos and what a joy to see those honey bees. I hardly saw any in our garden last summer. Plenty of the large furry bumble bees though.
wow very beautifull photo's! If you want a place to post photos regularly were looking for people just like you over at www.afloweraday.net/blog Basically we wanna tell people about a new flower a day and add in some gardening tips and whatnot along the way!
Lucky you .....We get zillions of blossoms on our apricot trees, only to freeze ......No luck here in zone 5..
