    The chippys hibernate during the winter, and when they awaken again in spring, and play, it's a sure sign of the approaching warm weather. This fellow showed up yesterday, so now I'm ready for the summer, come on summer.

    Oh, how cute. I didn't realize they hibernated, sure wish our squirrels did. :rolleyes:

    aweeee he is adorable! Wish we got those little fellows, I am guessing then the hedgehogs will be waking from their slumber around now and getting back to busily clearing our gardens of slugs. thank you for the pictures they sure made me smile!

    Those are cute photos!! I love the one you took of the little guy popping his head out of the snow. That would make an awesome postcard!!
    I wish we had chipmunks but I think they need more wooded areas than what I have.

    Well caught Tom. I imagine those little fellows are quite hard to catch with a camera as they move so quickly. Yep I think we can definately say that better weather is on its way!! :D

    Thanks everyone, the Chippys, unlike the Squirrels, are friendly and will come right up to us for treats. They play together out on the deck while we are there. They love "in the shell" peanuts.
