hi Eileen, Thanks so much ......If yours is the same type, it has to have water in a tray under it all the time. Works for me........Let it be root bound. Everyone trys to steal it . Bugger is worth money at that size. I sure enjoy these forums.. :-D
Hello, Barb, nice to see you. Your orchid is lovely. Isn't it nice to enjoy the house plants when there's nothing outside?
droopy Hi to you also , It certainly is a spirit lifter ,and so easy to do. Miss all of you ....... b
I had a pretty one in that family and I set it on top of the refrigerator for a couple days and all of the flowers fell off and has done nothing since. I will never put real flowers on top of there again....
Maybe the heat from the refrig. did it . Our type of orchid like it a little on the cold side. That I read is what makes it bloom. I have mine in the north window without sun.. On the window sill all the time. It works.. Oh keep water in a tray under it all the time.. Good luck . barb
SOOOO beautiful!I just started growing orchids this year! I have only babies now and only one is blooming but i have found it is not as hard as they say...you just have to have patience...no problem, I fish!HAHAHA!
Chances are the plant didn't get enough sunlight. Placing it on a refrigerator shouldn't make a difference, it's the new location that will make the difference
What a beautiful Orchid! I am so glad to see there are some people here that grow Orchids. I have been reading some of the helpful tips and it is nice to know I have a place I can ask for help if I start having trouble.
bsewnsew, That is a great photo of your Phalaenopsis. I was wondering if you could give me permission to post the photo on my website. Thanks Simon Adams moderator's note: removed website link, see point 1.1 of usage rules
