What a great forum. I grew up in Vermont and used to garden with my mother all spring, summer and of course rake in the fall. Well, I jumped into the piles so not sure how helpful I was there. I live right outside NYC now but have a nice piece of property which attracts deer, squirrels, birds, turkeys, almost like Wild Kingdom. I'll have to post you some pictures. I look forward to being here. Tracy
Hi Tracy, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. Very glad you found us. Yes please, we love pictures. Do you garden now?
Not like I used to but I still do a lot of container gardening and grow the majority of all my fruits and vegetables this way. A couple of years ago, someone bought me an indoor gardening system and now I actually use that to start my seedlings and then I just transplant them outside when appropriate. It works really well and I've gotten my laundry room back since that's where I was growing the seedlings prior to planting. Nothing like a little dirt on freshly laundered clothes. :-D
