I've never gardened in Wales, but here in Norway I fertilize when it's raining, and I go slug hunting. I also admire the lovely colours in the borders while I potter about in my rain gear with my coffee. I don't do much, no, but I enjoy. That's also very important.

Yep, standing out in it until it gets heavy or the lightening gets too intense. Looking at how mystical the garden looks, especially the wild area I have left behind a piece of picket fence in the backyard.
I spend a lot of time on rainy days just enjoying the view.
Tom Bombadil and Goldberry come to mind too. ;)

I'll be sitting in my little greenhouse watching things grow.

I have things on the long porch, too. But, just sitting on that long porch watching it rain. I think we can see the morning glories growing. Less than a week ago we added the cord to the roof and now some are at the top. I'm sure all that rain has helped. I need a bean pole like Jack had for them to climb. dooley

It is raining in Wisconsin again today...I thought it wasn't suppose to start until later but it must of moved in quicker...I have some white liatris corns that need planting but those will have to wait. Now is a good time to get caught up on my e-mails..

Sometimes I'm out there weeding as the wet ground makes it easier to pull the entire root. Other times I'm inside reading or surfing Gardenstew :)

I love being indoors with my loved ones, a fire going, some soup and talk about all the bulbs that are in the soil and how the bulbs will appreciate the rain. :stew2:

I am often caught out on my allotment in the rain, and I just carry on. Same thing when I am working in other peoples gardens. Some days I collect the children from school and I am wet through to my skin...you can imagine the curious looks I get from other parents. In my own garden, I potter in the greenhouse and conservatory.

I'll wander out there every now and then just to see how everything is doing and the rest of the time I'm usually inside either watching a movie or playing the guitar, or even a nap if I'm feeling extra lazy, lol.
