I live in maine and have a tree/shrub off in the puckerbrush (overgrown areas around my lawn) and have a tree or shrub that if standing upright would be about 10 feet tall. It is drooped over about 6' tall. The stock is about 1-2" in diameter, and it has thorns on it (yes i found out the hard way). It has blossom that are pink and the blossoms open up to reveal white flowers. These flowers are almost in clusters and hang down from the stock. I know stock isn't the right word, but i don't know if this is a tree or shrub or what. There are 3 of these right next to eacht other and want to love them to a better location where they can grow healthier. Just looking to see if anyone knows what this might be so I can further research it.

OK now that I look again, I think you may have nailed it. The only thing is the branches on mine are more woody brown than green??? I'll research it. Thanks again!!
