You mean close to the rose bushes? Generally speaking roses like neutral to limey soil and lilies like slightly acidic soil. There are also lilies that are tolerant of lime and some roses grow well at a PH of 6.5, so it can be done. Good luck.
Droopy is right. What type of lilies are you thinking of planting? THe type of lily can be quite important in your case. Many people call many flowers lilies when some of them are strictly speaking not even lilies and even belong to a different floral family. (eg. Calla lilies - arum lilies - aka Zantedeschia sp. - Araceae [not Liliaceae].
It says on the tag "Crimson Dwarf Asiatic Lily", so would that be alright to put it with roses, or separately? or what else would go good with lilies?
Most Asiatic lilies will grow in lime-free soil, however, there are so many hybrids these days. Many hybridised to suit different soil types. If I were you I would take a chance and plant some of the bulbs near the roses and some in pots, just to play it safe. Good luck.
I checked out a couple of dwarf asiatic lilies on random sites on the net. The retailers claim it will grow well in both neutral, alkaline and acid soil. I'd give it a go. Nothing ventured etc. Right?
