Whew! I finally finished editing hundreds of photos from Keukenhof this spring. I put my favourites in a slideshow if you are interested. I also have all of the tulip variety names (as long as they were posted) if you're curious about any of them. Here's the slideshow Keukehof Garden 2009 ( photo / image / picture from ACMPhoto's Garden )
Great slideshow, beautiful blooms. I like the black tulip, the black one that looks like mini-tulips hanging from one stem and the line up of blue pots filled with tulips. Also, in your My Garden photos you have the yellow tulip with one red petal, that is a gorgeous photo.
Thanks so much Toni! The Black Tulip is called Black Charm. The other black flower is a Fritilaria Persica. I really liked the blue pots too
Oh the memories your beautiful photographs invoke!!! I'm longing to go back to the Keukenhof Gardens some day as it's such a wonderful place to spend a day. There is just so much colour that your eyes almost hurt looking at it all with its well thought out planting and all those gorgeous flowers. The fragrance is everwhere and you just want to stay there drinking it all in. Thanks for taking the time to make up the video for us it's very much appreciated. :-D
You're very welcome Eileen! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I agree, the colour (and smell) is almost overwhelming, in a good way. I just wish I could take all of the tulips home and fill my house with them
I especially enjoyed seeing your pics because I went there myself this year and I always enjoy seeing how someone experienced the same place that I visited. The flowers shown give a good idea of what there is to see there. I'll bet that you must have spent hours and hours sorting through all your fotos...but it was worth it, wasn't it?
Thanks everyone for the kind words. It's an incredible place and well worth a visit (or many) Sjoerd - Hours is an understatment but yes definitely worth the effort! Keukenhof is always my favorite garden shoot of the year. There is just no place else like it. I am taking a break from editing tulip photos now for a while though
